python-ckanclient software package provides CKAN client Python package, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-ckanclient
python-ckanclient is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-ckanclient package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-ckanclient *
You will get with python-ckanclient package name, version, architecture and description in a table
